Margo Mays

Director of Grants and Leadership Gifts

Margo joined Seva in 2023. As the Director of Grants and Leadership Gifts, she works across the Development and Programs departments to coalesce programming information to pursue funding for Seva programs worldwide. She is excited to be in service to Seva's mission and works to support and strengthen internal systems that help the team translate their work to our valuable donors.

Margo brings over twenty years of program management experience to Seva, with much of her work centering on equity in access for the public. Before joining Seva, she oversaw multi-million-dollar public recreation programs and developed donor-funded non-profit programs in the public health, public lands, and agriculture fields. She has broad experience as a convening agent for projects with multiple stakeholders and is proud of her past service to organizations such as the MA Department of Public Health, the MA Department of Conservation and Recreation, and environmental non-profit organizations.

Margo holds a B.A. in International Studies and an M.S. in Geoenvironmental Sciences.

Outside work, Margo lives in an area zoned as an Agricultural Reserve and leases portions of her land to beginning farmers without land access. She spends some free time on house restoration, travel, and being outdoors. However, most of her free time is happily devoted to supporting every endeavor launched by her three young adult sons.
